Frequently asked questions.
1. What makes Pro Black Belt Academy unique?
At Pro Black Belt Academy, you’re learning from the very best. We’re part of an elite network of martial arts schools led by Grand Master Buddy Hudson—a 9th-degree black belt and one of the world’s most respected martial arts trainers. Together with other legends of the art, he created a world-class curriculum that blends tradition with modern teaching. The result? A proven program that not only builds exceptional martial artists but also develops confident, disciplined leaders—equipped with the life skills to succeed on and off the mat.
2. What sets Pro Black Belt Academy apart?
Our curriculum is crafted by Grand Master Buddy Hudson in collaboration with two martial arts legends—Grand Master Jhoon Rhee (the Father of American taekwondo) and Grand Master J. Pat Burleson (the Father of American Karate). This elite lineage, combined with our upscale, purpose-built training environment and certified instructors, delivers a level of technique, discipline, and personal growth you won’t find at most studios.
3. What age groups do you serve?
We offer programs for kids as young as 4, through teens, and all the way up to adults. Every class is tailored by age and skill level so students feel supported and challenged at the right pace.
4. How does scheduling and attendance work?
Tuition is a simple flat monthly rate with no long-term contracts to lock you in. Every membership includes unlimited classes—come as often as you’d like, up to five days a week. While we recommend two classes per week for steady progress, the flexibility is yours to fit martial arts into your family’s schedule.
5. Is martial arts safe for kids, and will it make them aggressive?
Yes. Safety is our top priority—classes are structured and supervised by certified instructors. And rather than encouraging aggression, martial arts actually builds respect, focus, and self-control. Parents often notice their kids becoming calmer and more disciplined both at home and in school.
6. Do students need prior experience?
Not at all! Most of our students start as complete beginners. Our program is designed to meet each student where they are and help them grow in confidence, skill, and character.
7. Can we try a class before enrolling?
Yes! We encourage new families to come in for a free introductory class. It’s the best way to see our studio, meet the instructors, and experience the program firsthand.
